Welding Technology Program

This program is designed to give students a flexible 8-week modular based education in a two-year format. Students will learn quality assurance, quality control, metallurgy, blueprint reading, pipe welding, as well as 24 weeks of pipe fitting layout and design. Welding processes being taught are shielded metal arc (stick), gas metal arc (MIG), Flux-cored arc and gas tungsten arc welding (TIG). Students will also be taught safe use to become proficient with two cutting techniques (oxy fuel as well as Plasma cutting). Graduates of this program will have the opportunity to test for two all position American Welding Society certifications (Flux-Cored and Structural Stick), plus one ASME (American Society of Mechanical Engineers) pipe welding test in the 6g position. As a result, Beal College graduates will be in high demand. Please be aware that this is a competitive program with capped enrollment and limited start dates.
